Was passing through Gretna and we called into the Solway Lodge for a meal. Service was very good, food was excellent
Four of us and a dog went for a meal. The staff were all very friendly, polite and efficient. The food was great, they even catered for our dog! If you’re in Gretna I highly recommend The Solway Lodge.
Steak pie wasn't the best, veg was basically raw, but my partners was ok, service was good
Stayed here for a family wedding, it was a lovely two days spent. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were fantastic very friendly and approachable. The food was really good and plentiful the bar prices very reasonable.
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in an outside chalet with our doggie who was fussed by the staff and given dog biscuit treats and a sausage at breakfast. We had an overnight stay as the start of our road trip around Scotland. Location ideal for a short walk to the wedding Blacksmiths and the nearby retail designer outlet park for some bargain shopping. We also ate our evening meal in the Solway bar, we enjoyed good sized portions reasonably priced. Overall we were not disappointed with anything about our first stop off at the gateway to Scotland.

Great place to stay. We stayed one night room was cosy and clean. Only 1 thing shower pressure could be better. Foor in bar was absolutely amazing, lovely service, friendly and helpful staff. Defo recommend. At breakfast we even got sausages for our dogs
